The Self eSTEAM Challenge ’22 was a nation-wide technology and creativity related competition organised in 2022 in Luxembourg. The Grand Finale of this first edition will be organised in the frame of the next Maker Faire Luxembourg. It did take place on the 25th and 26th of June 2022 in Rosport.
Thanks to all the young tinkerer who participated in the challenge and showed us their great results!
Thanks to all the supporters of the challenge who made it possible to distribute the robot kits with all the materials for free to around 3000 people and made it possible to offer workshops and deliver the kits around the country.
What happend during the Grand Finale?
- You were among those that did receive a Self eSTEAM kit?
- Join the Maker Faire with your family and friends and meet the other peers that also built awesome robots. If you showed us your robot, you got a surprise from us!
- You did not yet build your own robot?
- No worries, you could join us at our booth and pick any of the robots that we pre-assembled. Your challenge will be to improve the robot so that it passes by our maze as quick as possible!
Schedule:
Saturday, 25.05.2022 from 10:30 – 18:00
- Fix & finish —> There was a small garage for your robot to get repaired. Come if you needed a little help fixing the robot, we had a look together.
- Test & Improve —> You could try your robot in the parkour (either yours or our pre-assembled ones) and we measured the time.
- Show & Impress —> If you showed us the robot you built or the one you tuned at the faire, you got a surprise from us
Sunday, 26.06.2022 from 10:00 – 17:00
- Test & Improve —> Try your robot (or the pre-assembled ones) in our parkour and finetune it – if necessary- to make it even faster
- Show & Impress —> If you show us the robot you built or the one you tuned at the faire, you will get a surprise from us
- SPECIAL:
- 12:00-13:00: Meeting of the Jury
- 13:00-14:00: last chance to beat the record of the fastest robot
- 14:00: winner ceremony
